Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

We are Women of the Episcopal Church  committed to one another and called to be witnesses of Christ. Our challenge is to provide a safe place where every woman is free to become the person Christ created her to be. We are called. We are different. We are one body. We invite and encourage all women in our community to join us in our ministry.

How We Operate

The life of Episcopal Church Women begins in the local congregation, continues at the diocesan, provincial and national levels. Each has its own unique characteristics which enable the mission and ministry of women. Episcopal Church Women are an integral part of the Episcopal Church USA which consists of nine provinces and is a part of the world wide Anglican Communion.ECW meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month after the Service, in the Graham room, St. David’s Education Building.

“Serve the Lord with all your heart”, was our theme was for 2010.

Here are just a few of the blessings that were bestowed on us.

Mothering Sunday is always a highlight for ECW. Ifoema takes charge and get the men and youth group to participate in celebrating and giving honor to each woman in the church. A long stem rose is presented to each woman.

In the month of May ECW takes the time to review self and ask God to show us his vision for ECW.

The Elderly Wish Foundation was paid in full for the dishes.

New tables were bought, chairs were cleaned and we support clean-up day.

Bake Sales were held throughout the year.

Episcopal Church Women*ECW hosted the annual Pasta & BINGO Night.

Pies & money for toys were donated for the Holiday Dinner held at the Antioch Fairground.
